My Isreali friends wedding, traditional Thai wedding
On Monday May 5th my friend Felix married his long time Thai girlfriend in her city province of Nakhon Nayok, Thailand, it’s a small city about 2 hours northeast from Bangkok. Here are some of the Thai dishes we feasted on, chicken curry, lots of spicey soups, and some good coconut based desserts too!

It was SO SO SO hot walking around in 100+ degree weather, sun blazing on our faces, so any chance at finding a shadow was jumped on!!! LOL

Here is all the money given to the wife’s family, it’s traditional for the husband to marry the wife and give a “Dowry” to the family, to be honest I think it’s ridiculous for anyone to pay any family for any marriage hehe

Here is all of us at the 7pm reception type of thing, there was a TON of people that attended, approx 1000 people, we were the only farangs (foreigners) there of course, had tons of Thai whiskey, Vodka, traditional Thai dancers, good band, and an extremely large amount of delicious food, like those shrimps in the pics

Pay up Grand Diamond City casino, Poipet Cambodia

Yesterday (April 23rd), I did another VISA run to Poipet, Cambodia, it’s a border town between Thailand and Cambo, they have a ton of casinos all packed in there, lots of tourists go there from Thailand because in Thailand gambling is illegal. So anyways, went there and finally wanted to check out a casino, I chose the Grand Diamond City Hotel and Casino, went inside and I was surprised to see how nice and big it was, it had 6 roulette tables (my favorite), so I sat down, began wheeling and dealing, walked away after winning 8000 baht!

Tony, Heidi, and I going on the “Klong Tour”

On this day we went on a Klong Tour on the Chao Phraya River here in Bangkok, Thailand, it was nice, seen some cool stuff, Heidi met another love of her life, the little monkey thing, a gibbon, what was his name Heidi? Anyways, he was soooooo cute. So, we got to see the aligators just chillin, and the snake show was kinda neat, they milk the venom from the snakes, got a great pic of that. So, sippin’ on some coconuts, we continued down the river again, and got off on a dock, that charged us about 50 cents each for just landing at their dock, hehe, gotta make their bucks somehow I guess right?
After the klong tour we went right nearby to see the HUGE shiny Buddha monument inside the famous Wat Pho, it was like my gazillionth time there, but I thought T&H would like to see this huge thing. We covered a lot of ground that day didnt we???
I’m having internet problems at my hotel right now, so cant upload the pics yet, coming VERY soon though

It’s 2am here in Bangkok, I was SO hungry so I taxi’d around looking for something good to eat, I seen lit up signs at this place

Sunrise Tacos! I was VERY impressed, they were nice, and everything tasted great, very spicey, it’s hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in Thailand, AND!!!! the most important thing, they are open 24/7 AND they deliver 24/7!!!!!! Family, say good bye to skinny Zach, hello fatZach!!!!! LOL
Tony & Heidi, you’ll be eating this stuff too! hehehehe

Huge Ratchada fire near my apartment
So last night, sleeping, I wake up around 3am with the fire alarm ringing in my building, and notice I’m sweating ballz! The power was all out in my apartment, so no aircon, plus I seen an orange glow light coming from behind my closed curtains, opened them up and there was 2 HUGE skyscrapers on fire, in the very next building to my apartment. Bangkok post posted this article about this huge fire in Ratchada, Bangkok. It was creepy, the smell and the heat was very near my apartment, I loaded up my 2 cats Blacky and Panda into their cage and was about to head outside, I didnt know if the building was gonna come crashing down or what!!!
Well, after a while I decided to just stay inside, and I grabbed my camera, and started taking pictures and video of the huge fire of the newly finished apartment buildings. But it was SO awesome at the same time.
This is the exact view I see when I open my bedroom curtains, now imagine how awesome of a site that would be at night time, with the entire buildings both engulfed in flames!!!!

Here are some of the pictures that I took:

The burnt buildings the next day:

Khon Kaen, Issan, Thailand trip
Chillin in Khon Kaen for a few days, my 1st time ever to get up to Northeast Thailand, so far so good. Staying at Kosa Hotel, it seems decent.
Going to the Tukcom Miss Motor Show competition tomorrow and the next day
Been partying, drinking our Singha Beer at this nice big nightclub called U Bar, but it sucks because U Bar closes at only 2am
I will post pictures of this trip soon

Heading Back to Bangkok
Well, it’s been GREAT to see everyone, my family, my friends, my dogs, my niggaz and my bitches!!! Especially those that came back into town to be here in QC! Great to see you all, oh, and ESPECIALLY i met finally my newest nephew Levi while i was in Pensacola!
But, the time flew right by, time to head back to Bangkok, I have another life away from the QC, and to be honest, to choose QC or any other place to live i’d choose the NOT QC place, this place is trouble, great to be home, but i am happy to not be living here
just my 2cents
Hope to see everyone if i can make it back in December!!!

What a SMALL world this is!!!
I’m thousands of miles away from my hometown in East Moline Illinois, everyone knows that.
So, yesterday I’m here in Bangkok grocery shopping in “Big C” (place as grocery store, and lots of restaurants etc) and I see a 20year old dude walk right past me with a freaking East Moline / Silvis Soccer shirt, blue shirt, sponsor on back “Dans Automotive”!!!! I was freaked the f*ck out!!! I mean, whats the chances of that happening!!!!
I’m still shocked by it, yes I know it’s something totally small and uninteresting but still, I was shocked, if you were in same boat I’m sure you’d be also!
